The Kiwi Experience is an awesome hop on, hop off backpacker bus which transports travellers far and wide across beautiful New Zealand. In 2007 i spent a month in NZ, using the bus to move through both the countries north and south island. It has a reputation of being a bit of a party bus, and to an extent that wasnt too far from the truth, but inbetween those fun times we saw some pretty amazing things, all with the aid of our wicked driver/guide Scotty. These are my own pictures taken from my trip around the south island, i hope they make good viewing. Click on the images to enlarge them.

Sweet photos man!
This gets me so excited about NZ since I’m about 6 weeks away.. you have no idea!
@Gerard – Glad to hear it, you’ll have an amazing time! Are you visiting both islands?
Yup! 1 month going from north to south! Bay of Islands, Waitomo, Rotorua, Hawkes Bay, Marlborough, Franz Josef, Queenstown, Wanaka, and Christchruch. Pretty jam packed!
Thats not too different from the route I took, and I only had a month. Bay of Islands is worth the effort of first heading north from Auckland. Franz Josef and Wanaka were probably my favourote places.
I see Taupo is not on your list, but if you get the chance, the Tongariro Crossing is pretty special if not hard work!
Yeah. We’re saving all our extreme activity stuff for Queenstown. I keep on hearing about the day hike at Tongariro crossing. It could be good pitstop down to Wellington.
@Gerard Taupo is a pretty good stop off even if not hiking the crossing. If you’re planning a sky dive Taupo is also the place to do it i’m told … sadly i didnt have the money.
I fucking love NZ! Pictures are bonerific!
