Lord knows how much free wifi i’m going to find in Laos and Cambodia, I may just have to take a hit of the roaming charges to keep this little beauty going.

So for the third time in just over a month Esther and I are jetting off to explore a new destination. At the time if writing we’re currently at work in west London, but have our backpacks with us and are ready to head straight to the airport come 5pm. Heathrow to Bangkok and then Bangkok to the Laos border. We’ll be covering a fair few miles in a very short space of time, but the journey will be so worth it.

I posted a blog earlier this week about our route on this trip, but en case you haven’t seen that post (click the link), here’s the quick version.

  • Heathrow to Bangkok
  • Train to Laos
  • Laos: Veintaine -> Vang Vieng -> Luang Prabang
  • Flight to Cambodia
  • Cambodia: Phnom Penh -> Sihanovkuille -> Siem Riep
  • Taxi/Train to Bangkok
  • Bangkok to Heathrow

Its quite a journey in just three weeks, but we plan to make the most of it. Through the magic of coding wizardry you can follow our whirlwind trip by simply visiting this post each week/day/hour (delete as applicable) for the next 3 weeks. Instagram photos will magically update for you and you can keep tabs on our movements using the map below.

Along for the ride as again mentioned in that earlier post are the oober cool guys from HostelBookers who we’ve partnered with for this gig. We’re mega excited to have them along for the ride! Keep an eye out for a few hostel review posts coming soon!

… But in the mean time I give you Laos and Cambodia! Enjoy
