The cliffs of Moher are located in west Ireland, stretching along County Claire’s Atlantic Coast. At their highest they stand 214m tall and stretch for roughly 8Km along the coastline. The site has been awarded the prestigious designation of membership of the UNESCO supported Global Geopark network.
We visited the cliffs on day 6 of our roadtrip around Ireland. The €6 admission was well worth it! The cliffs were amazing, if not a little windy. A great view can be obtained from the O’Brian tower, although this costs extra. The visitors centre was also excellent. We were particualy impressed by the 3d cinema room in which you were taken on a tour of the cliffs through the eyes of a seagull and fish. The usual cafe and gift shops can also be found on site.
