Well, this here is what you would call a travel blog, it’s also occasionally referred to as an online magazine, but I prefer blog. This is where people come to get their travel inspirations. With a focus on backpacking, adventure travel, hostel life, volunteering and budget travel this award winning blog has something for pretty much everyone, especially if you are a fan of photography and video. I know that reading endless lines of text can be mind numbing no matter the subject matter, so its jpegs and mp4s a’ plenty around here. I just want to help/inspire other people like me with a love for travel in whatever way I can.
About Me
Hi, I’m Neil a late (sigh) twenty something blogger with a seemingly unquenchable thirst for exploring this big wide world of ours. Self taught in the ‘art’ of travel blogging, I created backpacksandbunkbeds.co.uk back in 2011 after learning web design at night school and needing a subject matter to base my HTML based skills on. 24 months later and this is the result, ta-dar!
Sadly this blog is not my full time job, as much as I’d like it to be. Come 9am on a Monday morning I can be found in a London office along with thousands of others, but its not all bad though because London is a pretty cool place to live. Co cool I even had a category dedicated to it on the blog.
When not at the day job of working on the blog I can either be found eating, watching movies, and the football with my dad or just taking a stroll with my trusty camera set (iphone 4S, GoPro 3 White and Sony Nexf3). We’re a team!
